THE
RE-LOADED
BLUES BAND

Derek Durrant - Guitar

Derek has been playing guitar some 30 years, some of that time has been spent in various countries in Europe including several long stays in Berlin.

When asked about this work, the only information he could recall was that there was a party after every gig!

Unfortunately, the dates he was there or where he actually was remain a mystery to him.

Ray Bailey - Bass

We are able to reveal that Ray (007 look alike) is in fact no relation to Sean Connery at all.

Also, on good authority, we have reports that he has turned down the next Bond movie so he can keep the Re-Loaded rhythm section rolling along.

Colin Badrick - Drums

It has been said that "Colin has a cunning flan".

It is rumoured that his banana custard can stand close scrutiny as well.

He can hit those pots and pans too.

Joe Nethercoat - Vocals & Guitar

'Stormin' Joe' formerly from ROUTE 41 adds a whole lot more than symmetry to Re-Loaded's stage!  Indeed not, he is the Mr Piano-Forte of guitarists - he will lure you with gentle laid-back triplets and once he's got you he will 'take you out' with his full arsenal, so stand well back!  When he sings you'll believe in the blues!

Tommy 'The Gent' - Tenor Sax & Flute

We are unable to bring you any information about Tom at this time because we haven't a clue who he is, he just turned up one night!

If you have any information to offer that may help to establish his identity, please contact us.

We believe that he may be very rich and he appears to be an ardent art lover.

Further Band Info

Returning from the last set of gigs in Berlin back in '89 the band I was in fell apart (I had already done that halfway through the tour, the band just took a little longer).

Looking back, the main reason for the split was the vocalist/songwriter had decided to get married & my opinion of marriage was the same as Mae West's who once said "marriage is a wonderful institution, I'm just not ready to be institutionalised yet".

So with no band I got drunk.  In my defence I only got drunk once, it just lasted 5 years and after that time I was left with nothing, not even a guitar.

In '93 with the help of some good friends I got sober, & one of those friends, namely Bob Cushing, lent me his guitar and then it was Carol Fletcher who got me interested in buying a Strat.  Thank you.

Joe and Toots took over from Lee Hitchcock on vocals and brought their blazing guitar and sax to the band.  I owe both Lou & Lee a great debt of gratitude for being there at the start of the band and when we really needed them.  I wish them every success in whatever they do.

July 2007 addendum:
I wish Toots Webster all the very best way down there in Chichester and thank him for the great contribution he made to our sound and general morale.  You're a top geezer.

July 2008 addendum:
We're back gigging again!  We've now got video thanks to Vaughan.  Joe's got a new guitar that's not gonna hurt his injured shoulder.  Onwards and upwards!

Derek.
